ABOUT JOANNE
"A little bit of country, a whole lot of heart, and a lifetime of stories told through song"
Born in Shawville and proudly rooted in Bristol, Quebec, Joanne Dubeau is a true country girl at heart. With a love for music that began almost as soon as she could talk, Joanne was raised in a musical family where guitars, piano and singing were simply part of everyday life.
Her musical journey began with a little help from someone very special - her Dad. He introduced her to her first three guitar chords, sparking a passion that would become a lifelong love affair with coutry music. By the age of nine, Joanne was already performing, and she hasn't lost that love for the stage since.
Throughout the years, Joanne has entertained audiences at local fairs and events, performed at the Gatineau Clog in 1986, and competed in the CKBY Talent Contest. Her music has also found its way onto the airwaves, receiving radio play on Y101 Ottawa, Valley Heritage Radio, and CHIP FM.
In 2003, Joanne released her debut EP, featuring a collection of original songs alongside some timeless classic country favourites - a reflection of her appreciation for traditional country music and the stories that make it special.
A fun-loving country girl with a genuine passion for what she does, Joanne describes her vocal style as that of a soft, intimate storyteller. Whether singing an original song or putting her own heartfelt touch on a country classic, she believes in connecting with listeners through the emotion, memories, and stories behind the music.
For Joanne Dubeau, country music isn't just something she sings - it's a part of who she is. And after all these years, she's still doing what she loves: sharing her heart, one country song at a time.
